Project Assistant

We are looking for a Project Assistant to support a customer-facing event in North Carolina. This is a Contract position suited for someone who is approachable, organized, and comfortable helping guests in a busy, fast-moving environment. The person in this role will assist with attendee arrival activities, item intake, and on-site coordination to help the event run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome attendees upon arrival and provide a positive, detail-oriented first impression throughout the event.
• Manage the check-in process using a digital platform to confirm attendance and keep participant records accurate.
• Use a handheld scanner to log incoming lockboxes and ensure each item is recorded correctly.
• Receive materials from participants and place collected lockboxes into the appropriate storage containers.
• Maintain clear organization of collected items so they can be tracked and handled efficiently.
• Answer basic attendee questions and provide courteous support during the event experience.
• Help prepare event areas before opening and assist with cleanup and breakdown once activities conclude.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service, front desk support, event assistance, or a similar public-facing role.
• Ability to use handheld scanning equipment and web-based check-in tools with accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, detail-oriented communication style.
• Excellent attention to detail when tracking items and managing attendee information.
• Capable of staying organized and productive in a fast-paced event setting.
• Able to follow instructions, work collaboratively with the team, and present a business casual appearance.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
