Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to support a growing digital presence in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can shape thoughtful social media plans, keep content schedules organized, and deliver compelling posts across multiple channels. The right candidate will combine creativity with strong execution skills to help maintain a consistent and engaging brand voice.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a strategic social media content plan that aligns with brand goals and audience interests.
• Build, organize, and manage publishing calendars to ensure timely and consistent delivery across platforms.
• Create engaging written and visual social content tailored to the style and expectations of each channel.
• Oversee day-to-day activity across multiple social media accounts, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and on brand.
• Coordinate social media campaigns from planning through execution to support marketing and communication objectives.
• Monitor platform performance and audience engagement to identify opportunities for content improvement and growth.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of social media strategy, platform standards, and current best practices.
• Experience developing and managing social media calendars in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to produce engaging social media content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Hands-on experience supporting or executing social media campaigns.
• Familiarity with managing multiple social media channels while maintaining a consistent brand presence.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities effectively.

Compensation

$29.45-$34.10 Hourly
