Community Manager
We are looking for a Community Manager to support affordable housing operations in Vallejo, California on a Contract basis. This role focuses on keeping assigned communities running efficiently while delivering a positive resident experience and maintaining strict adherence to tax credit housing regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong property administration skills, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate site activities, compliance tasks, and resident-facing initiatives with professionalism.
Community Manager Responsibilities:
• Direct day-to-day management activities for assigned affordable housing communities to support smooth operations and high service standards.
• Inspect community conditions on a routine basis and partner with maintenance personnel to address safety, cleanliness, and repair needs promptly.
• Administer compliance activities related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit programs, including file accuracy, eligibility verification, leasing documentation, and required reporting.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting tax credit properties and apply updated requirements to site practices and resident documentation.
• Build positive relationships with residents by responding to concerns, supporting retention efforts, and helping coordinate community engagement programs.
• Track operational issues, follow up on outstanding property needs, and help ensure each community remains well maintained and resident focused.
• Collaborate with internal teams and property stakeholders to uphold housing standards, occupancy goals, and consistent administrative processes.

Qualifications:
• Experience managing residential or affordable housing communities in a property administration or community management capacity.• Working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit compliance standards, including resident qualification and documentation practices.
• Ability to conduct property reviews, identify operational concerns, and coordinate timely resolutions with maintenance teams.
• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with residents, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting, tracking, and general administrative work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of fair housing practices and commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards of accuracy.
Compensation
