Business Data Analyst

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to transform complex data into clear, practical insights that support strategic decision-making. This role is based in White Plains, New York, and is well suited for someone who can bridge business needs with technical data solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, experience working with modern data platforms, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, uncover issues, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Design, write, and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and manage data for reporting and analysis.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support business visibility.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business partners to define data needs, translate requirements, and improve reporting solutions.
• Develop and support data pipelines or automated workflows using scripting or programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Apply data modeling and warehousing principles to structure information for accurate analysis and efficient access.
• Work with cloud-based data environments, including AWS or Azure, to support scalable analytics and data integration.
• Investigate data quality concerns and resolve complex data-related problems through structured analysis and testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a closely related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience addressing complex data challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including database querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
• Experience with BI and visualization platforms, including Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling approaches such as dimensional modeling.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, along with related data integration tools.
• Working knowledge of Python or Java for automation, scripting, or data pipeline development.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
