Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing organization in West Palm Beach, Florida. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can step into an evolving environment, bring order to accounts payable operations, and work effectively with minimal oversight. The right candidate will combine strong NetSuite expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to resolving outstanding issues, improving efficiency, and building dependable processes that can support future growth.

Responsibilities:
• Review, code, and process invoices accurately while maintaining timely payment schedules and strong attention to detail.
• Manage ACH transactions and check runs, ensuring payments are completed correctly and in accordance with company procedures.
• Address accounts payable backlogs by organizing open items, researching discrepancies, and driving issues through resolution.
• Strengthen and formalize AP workflows in an environment where procedures are still being established and refined.
• Use NetSuite to support invoice processing, improve data accuracy, and enhance overall system performance within the AP function.
• Work independently to create structure and consistency within a lean department supported by limited part-time resources.
• Recommend and implement scalable best practices that improve efficiency and prepare the accounts payable process for continued organizational growth.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate account coding and support smooth day-to-day financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, including invoice coding, payment processing, and account reconciliation support.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of NetSuite, with the ability to improve system usage, correct data issues, and streamline AP activities.
• Proven success improving or rebuilding AP procedures in a fast-growing, startup, or otherwise evolving business setting.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and bring structure to a function with limited existing support.
• Experience processing ACH payments and coordinating check runs with accuracy and reliability.
• Strong understanding of account coding principles and attention to detail in high-volume transactional work.
• Comfortable joining a company preparing for significant growth and increased operational rigor.
• Availability and interest in a contract-to-permanent opportunity.

Compensation

$24.70-$28.60 Hourly
