Benefits Coordinator
We are looking for a detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to support benefits operations for an organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who can balance employee support, accurate records management, and coordination with external providers in a fast-paced environment. The role will contribute to daily benefits administration, assist during high-volume periods such as enrollment cycles, and help maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily support activities for employee benefit offerings, including health, retirement, disability, and voluntary plans.
• Process benefit elections, status updates, and separations within internal platforms and external vendor systems while maintaining accurate records.
• Answer employee questions related to coverage options, eligibility, and benefit changes with clear and timely communication.
• Assist with enrollment periods by preparing communications, validating data, and helping test system functionality.
• Partner with insurance carriers and benefit vendors to investigate and resolve eligibility discrepancies and billing concerns.
• Review invoices and eligibility reports to confirm accuracy and support reconciliation efforts.
• Provide administrative support for leave-related processes, qualifying life event updates, and benefits onboarding for new employees.
• Maintain organized documentation and safeguard confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
• Support compliance-related activities such as audits, reporting, and required disclosures under the guidance of benefits leadership.
• Contribute to special assignments and additional administrative tasks as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration, including contract assignments.• Practical knowledge of employee benefit programs and common benefits terminology.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of data accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for responding to employee and vendor inquiries.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with HRIS or benefits administration systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to manage competing priorities efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with open enrollment, leave administration, or systems such as Paycom is preferred.
Compensation
