ServiceNow Developer/Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across forms, lists, client interfaces, and core platform configurations to support enterprise needs.
• Create and enhance custom functionality using JavaScript and ServiceNow tools such as Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, GlideRecord, and GlideAjax.
• Build and optimize automated workflows through Flow Designer, orchestration capabilities, and legacy workflow components where needed.
• Define and uphold platform governance standards for development practices, access controls, data quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with business users and technical teams to gather requirements, translate objectives into platform designs, and deliver practical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations with external systems and services, including cloud and identity platforms, to ensure reliable data exchange.
• Produce status updates, risk summaries, and issue reporting for leadership and stakeholders throughout project and operational work.
• Establish and refine service management processes, including SLAs, escalation models, communication templates, and continual improvement initiatives.
• Create dashboards, reporting views, and performance analytics that track service trends, operational health, and key platform metrics.
• Oversee platform maintenance activities such as environment health reviews, upgrades, security-related checks, and overall system hygiene.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.• At least 5 years of experience in service management, including 4 or more years focused on ServiceNow development and administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow development components, including server-side and client-side scripting.
• Proven knowledge of ServiceNow administration, including user roles, data controls, access control rules, and day-to-day platform operations.
• Deep understanding of IT service management practices, especially incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience designing analytics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that support operational and executive decision-making.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations, platform governance, and automation strategies in complex environments.
• Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as System Administrator, Application Developer, or implementation-focused credentials are preferred.
