Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for a high-volume workforce while maintaining compliance with established procedures.
• Review payroll data for accuracy by performing validations, reconciliations, and testing activities tied to ongoing system-related projects.
• Investigate pay-related issues, identify root causes, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain payroll records and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness and data integrity.
• Use Excel to extract, manipulate, and analyze payroll information, including imports, exports, and reporting support.
• Partner with payroll analysts and project stakeholders to support implementation-related tasks and maintain continuity of payroll operations.
• Adjust to evolving workflows and system processes as project milestones progress.
• Contribute to special payroll assignments and operational projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of payroll experience within a mid-sized or large organization.• Demonstrated background processing full-cycle payroll in a high-volume environment, including multi-state payroll exposure.
• Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as Oracle, Workday, Paycom, or comparable systems.
• Previous experience with Oracle and/or Workday is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, learn new processes quickly, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation
