Legal Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule case-related activities, and track important litigation deadlines to support an active legal practice.
• Prepare legal documents, letters, and other written materials using approved templates while ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.
• Handle electronic court submissions and related filing tasks, making sure documents are completed and submitted in accordance with procedural requirements.
• Organize and update case records, including document collections, privilege logs, and binders used for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Coordinate logistics for depositions, service of process, and other case events while communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and trial proceedings by assembling materials and confirming that required filings and documentation are ready.
• Monitor case activity to help ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, and applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a Legal Assistant role, preferably within a civil or commercial litigation environment.• Working knowledge of court filing procedures, including electronic filing practices.
• Experience managing calendars and coordinating multiple time-sensitive matters.
• Ability to prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents and case files with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• Fast and accurate typing skills with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Familiarity with litigation support tasks such as document production, trial preparation, or deposition coordination.
Compensation
