Business Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join a services team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is suited for someone who can evaluate business processes, review documentation with accuracy, and identify areas for improvement through structured analysis. The role offers the chance to support critical operational work, contribute to audit-related activities, and help maintain organized, reliable reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze business workflows and operational procedures to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Review business records, forms, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
• Perform gap analyses by comparing current practices against business needs, controls, and expected outcomes.
• Support audit-related efforts by gathering information, validating records, and helping prepare materials for review.
• Use Microsoft Excel to organize data, track findings, and produce clear reports for stakeholders and internal teams.
• Collaborate with team members to document observations, summarize issues, and recommend practical next steps.
• Assist with multiple active workstreams as priorities shift, maintaining accuracy and meeting expected timelines.

Qualifications:

• Experience in business analysis, process review, or a related analytical function.
• Strong ability to examine documents carefully and identify discrepancies or missing information.
• Working knowledge of gap analysis methods and audit support activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed work across multiple assignments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and working with stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to staggered onboarding timelines and changing business needs in a contract environment with potential for a long-term role.

Compensation

$20.00-$22.00 Hourly
