Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support core accounting operations in Kapolei, Hawaii. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key reconciliations, and contributing to reliable month-end reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned accounting tasks.

• Prepare and record journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and proper account classification.

• Maintain the general ledger by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and preserving data accuracy.

• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis to identify variances and support financial integrity.

• Complete bank reconciliations by matching cash activity and investigating outstanding items.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal reporting needs.

• Analyze financial information and flag unusual trends, posting issues, or balance inconsistencies for follow-up.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting with strong knowledge of month-end close procedures.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare and review financial statements with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in standard accounting practices and financial reporting processes.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
