PC Technician/ IT Hardware Technician
We are seeking a PC Technician / IT Hardware Technician for a 1-day onsite project in Tucson, Arizona. This role will support hands-on IT hardware activities, including computer setup, device installation, workstation deployment, peripheral connectivity, and basic troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically skilled, and comfortable working independently or as part of a project team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, install, and configure desktop PCs, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals
- Perform hardware swaps, upgrades, and replacements as needed
- Disconnect, move, and reconnect workstations and related equipment
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, connectivity, and peripheral issues onsite
- Test devices to confirm proper functionality after installation or deployment
- Assist with imaging, asset tagging, and inventory tracking if required
- Provide support for cable management and workstation organization
- Document completed work and report issues to the project lead or client contact
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a PC Technician, IT Hardware Technician, Desktop Support Technician, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with computer hardware and peripheral setup
- Ability to troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and related devices
- Familiarity with Windows environments and basic network connectivity
- Ability to follow project instructions and complete tasks efficiently within tight timelines
- Strong communication and professionalism in an onsite client environment
- Must be able to lift and move computer equipment as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with office moves, hardware refresh projects, or desktop deployments
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset management processes
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification is a plus
Compensation
