Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: High Desert area, near Adelanto, CA
Job Description:
Our client, a well-established company located in the High Desert area, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to grow within a stable organization.
The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable experience, though we are also open to candidates with experience as an Accounting Clerk or those who have completed a relevant accounting internship.
Key Requirements:
- Must reside within 15 miles of the Adelanto area
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Accounting or Finance
- Prior Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Will also consider candidates with Accounting Clerk experience or a relevant internship in accounting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Assist with check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment questions
- Support the accounting team with additional clerical and administrative tasks as needed
