Job Summary
Ensures the goal attainment of both the community and the University by working within a collaborative framework to develop programs. Manages the day-to-day operations and budget for a Community Engagement Center, providing oversight, leadership, and coordination of administrative functions. Assists in development and implementation of policies, strategic direction and goals, and protocols.
Essential Functions
Must have strong communication skills and be able to interact with University faculty, researchers, and staff and non-University personnel in diverse environments. Must have the ability to work collaboratively. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to attend on and off-campus meetings, especially evening meetings, which are generally preferred by community organizations. Computer literacy is required.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time especially for community events.
