Description

The objective of this role is to enable and enhance Sunrise Americas' commercial performance through data, analytics and reporting. This role sits at the intersection of Sales Operations and Finance, acting as a hub providing meaningful business insight and analysis and running key analysis-heavy processes. While closer to the data than anyone else, this role also integrates closely with the sales organization to understand the underlying business and market and identify opportunities.

  • Build & maintain dashboards that provide visibility into sales processes and performance (e.g. quote conversion, productivity).
  • Own & enhance regular weekly and monthly reporting outputs and use these to ensure business leaders aware of key trends.
    • Own monthly reporting on key accounts, including activity levels and sales volumes vs planned on key programs
    • Own monthly reporting on business unit sales activities and outcomes
    • Own regular validation and loading of sales inputs into company's SIOP supply chain planning process
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and modelling support to the Sr. Manager of Sales Ops and the SVP Sales to inform decision-making and dissect commercial performance. Doing so reactively, and also proactively identifying topics to deep-dive into based on trends observed and developing understanding of the business and market.
  • Support FP&A team with regular monthly reporting, initiative tracking and ad-hoc analysis on sales performance and pricing.
  • Act as steward of data related to sales activities and commercial performance.
    • Work between Sales Operations, Finance, and IT to ensure 'one set of facts'
    • Enforce governance on commercial data definitions, KPI standards, and reporting consistency
  • Work with IT to define requirements and successfully automate reporting.
  • Manage pricing process and setup in systems.
  • Run calculations of rebates earned by customers and report both to Sales leadership and Finance.
  • Run calculations of commissions incentives earned by sales representatives each month and report to Finance.
  • Manage fleet of sample assets deployed in the field, including processing of orders, returns, transfers, etc. Ensure accurate view of sample inventory maintained and provided to Finance.

Qualifications

  • At minimum 4+ years experience, ideally 6+, in analysis-focused roles within Commercial, Finance, or Business Intelligence teams
  • Experience focused on Sales activities and performance preferred
  • High competence in data analysis and manipulation using Excel
  • Experience & comfort using common tools (e.g. python) to manage and analyze data sets larger and more complex than suited to Excel
  • Experience establishing reporting in common BI tools e.g. PowerBI
  • Experience working closely with and managing data in an ERP tool such as JD Edwards preferred
  • Experience working with IT teams to establish and manage data flows / the data stack underneath reporting
  • Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate their work in a data analysis and reporting role
  • Solid foundational business/financial acumen and proven ability to learn a business model quickly
