JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Deposit Services Manager supports operational stability and compliance by driving consistent execution of deposit account servicing across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Directs, trains and mentors a diverse group of multi-functional employees.
  • Prepares and conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Ensures compliance with Bank policy and applicable regulations.
  • Oversees daily operations including but not limited to the following functions; Account/CIF Maintenance, IRA/CD and CDARS Processing, ODS Processing, Safe Deposit Maintenance, Tax Reporting Research/Maintenance.
  • Acts as a Bank Administrator for Promontory our CDARs vendor, approves CDARS orders and settlement wires.
  • Researches issues and performs Tax Reporting Maintenance.
  • Reviews and approves Dormant/Escheat Account reactivations and coordinates annual Escheat processing.
  • Provides detailed reporting and tracking as requested/needed.
  • Works closely with Branch Administration to address and resolve any issues.
  • Analyses workflows, processes and procedures to ensure continuous process improvements and optimum efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring department compliance as documented in the Bank’s BSA Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for implementing department procedures as approved and documented in the BSA Compliance Program Operating Manual.
  • Responsible for recommending enhancements to procedures that will further ensure compliance with the BSA Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for attending BSA related training sessions, as appropriate and directed by the BSA Officer.
  • Responds as appropriate to instructions and request received from BSA Officer.
  • Attends regular and monthly meeting with BSA Officer to receive BSA Program Updates and communicate updates to their team.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Deposit Services team to deliver consistent account servicing
  • Drive accurate and compliant execution of deposit maintenance and servicing activities
  • Improve servicing workflows to reduce errors and improve turnaround times
  • Partner with Retail teams to resolve complex account issues and support customer needs
  • Maintain strong regulatory and procedural discipline across deposit services

Other Duties

  • Assists the Retail Operations Manager with a variety of special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

  • Proactive and solution-oriented communication skills to guide and mentor team members with accountability
  • High attention to detail with the ability to develop, refine, and implement detailed procedures
  • Tech-savvy with strong computer and data entry skills with MS Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance regulations, policies, etc. impacting a deposit servicing function in a banking environment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Limited local travel may be required for this position.

Education and Experience

  • Requires 5 years of demonstrated experience in deposit servicing at a bank with 3 years direct management experience leading a high-performing deposit services team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred
