Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a plastics manufacturing organization in Holland, Michigan on a Contract basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed administrative work, handles invoice activity with accuracy, and thrives in an onsite Monday through Friday schedule. The role supports daily accounts payable operations and offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements as workflows evolve.

Responsibilities:
• Enter and process a high volume of supplier invoices each day with close attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Review invoices, assign the appropriate coding, and prepare transactions for payment within established procedures.
• Assist with routine accounts payable activities, including support for check runs and related documentation.
• Maintain organized payment records and help ensure vendor information is updated and complete.
• Partner with internal team members to resolve invoice discrepancies, missing details, and approval delays.
• Provide administrative support to the accounts payable function and help keep daily workflows on track.
• Monitor processing volumes and contribute to improvements that may support greater automation over time.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a closely related administrative role.
• Ability to code invoices accurately and manage detailed data entry in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort handling a workload of approximately 70 invoices per day while maintaining quality.
• Familiarity with check runs and standard accounts payable procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
• Proficiency with basic office systems and ability to learn company processes quickly.

Compensation

$17.10-$19.80 Hourly
