Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Attorney to manage a diverse caseload in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This role focuses on litigation matters and transportation-related legal work, with an emphasis on case strategy, legal analysis, and effective advocacy. The ideal candidate brings strong courtroom presence, excellent writing skills, and the ability to handle cases independently from discovery through deposition and motion practice.

Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation files from initial evaluation through resolution, ensuring matters progress efficiently and strategically.

• Conduct legal research and translate findings into persuasive motions, briefs, and other case-related documents.

• Take and defend depositions while developing testimony that supports overall case strategy.

• Handle discovery activities, including drafting requests, reviewing responses, and identifying key evidentiary issues.

• Represent clients in hearings and other court appearances with clear and effective oral advocacy.

• Assess claims involving areas such as commercial disputes, premises liability, transportation matters, negligence, property damage, construction issues, and personal injury.

• Review medical documentation and other records to evaluate damages, liability, and case exposure.

• Apply Michigan court rules, evidentiary standards, and federal civil procedure requirements in daily case handling

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience practicing in a litigation-focused legal environment.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct depositions confidently and independently.

• Active attorney licensure with experience managing civil litigation matters with limited supervision.

• Strong skills in legal research, motion drafting, brief writing, and clear communication.

• Working knowledge of Michigan Court Rules and the Michigan Rules of Evidence.

• Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
