We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a multi-entity organization in Lexington, Kentucky. This position plays a central role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating close activities, and delivering consolidated reporting that helps leadership make informed decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a careful eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee core accounting activities across multiple subsidiary entities, including payables, receivables, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure financial data is complete and accurate.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while meeting established reporting deadlines.

• Compile consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for a parent company with multiple legal entities.

• Review and eliminate intercompany balances and transactions to support accurate consolidated reporting.

• Examine financial results, identify variances, and provide clear explanations to management.

• Maintain the integrity of accounting records by monitoring account activity and resolving discrepancies promptly.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business planning.

• Assist with external audits, tax-related reporting, and compliance requirements across the organization.

• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
• Prior experience supporting multiple entities, subsidiaries, or a consolidated company structure.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with financial consolidations and intercompany accounting is required.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting best practices.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.

Compensation

$85,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
