Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare customer invoices and recurring billings for multiple operating locations, ensuring charges align with contract terms and supporting records.
• Reconcile site-level profit and loss activity by reviewing revenue, expenses, and account balances to identify and resolve variances.
• Process reimbursements, pass-through costs, transportation charges, and event-related billings with strong attention to timing and accuracy.
• Partner with operations teams, site leadership, and accounts receivable staff to research billing questions and correct financial discrepancies.
• Record journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support month-end close activities tied to billing and site financial performance.
• Review agreements, pricing schedules, and service documentation to confirm invoices are complete, properly coded, and contractually compliant.
• Analyze financial data in Excel and other accounting systems to track trends, validate balances, and improve reporting reliability.
• Assist accounting leadership with site financial reporting, documentation, and follow-up related to customer charges and operating results.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, including direct responsibility for accounts receivable and customer billing.• Hands-on experience reconciling profit and loss statements at the site, department, or business-unit level.
• Knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, revenue recognition, expense classification, and account reconciliation.
• Background managing billing across multiple customers, contracts, locations, or operating units.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Ability to review contracts, rate schedules, and supporting documents to validate billing accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of organization, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Experience with accounting or ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems is preferred.
Compensation
