A highly respected boutique plaintiff-side litigation firm in Seattle is seeking an ambitious Associate Attorney to join its growing catastrophic injury practice. The firm represents individuals and families in complex personal injury matters involving catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, wrongful death, and other significant negligence claims. Associates are given meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and substantial courtroom exposure from day one.
What You'll Do
- Manage a sophisticated caseload of catastrophic injury and complex plaintiff litigation matters
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and mediation briefs
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
- Work directly with clients, expert witnesses, and medical professionals
- Participate in settlement negotiations and case evaluations
- Collaborate closely with firm leadership on high-exposure litigation matters
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $175,000
- Uncapped Bonus Potential: Frequently adding $100,000+ in annual compensation

This position offers a rare opportunity to join a premier plaintiff-side practice handling some of the Pacific Northwest's most significant injury cases while building toward partnership in a supportive and high-performing environment.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Washington State Bar, or the ability to secure admission in Washington within a reasonable timeframe.
• At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably involving civil disputes with substantial case responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability in deposition practice, motion work, discovery management, and overall case handling.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills with the ability to craft clear and persuasive arguments.
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills, with the ability to advocate effectively in adversarial settings.
• Background in plaintiff-side personal injury matters is valued, though candidates from broader civil litigation practices are also encouraged to apply.
• Prior trial exposure is beneficial but not required.
Compensation
