Sr. Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain budgets for a portfolio of grant-funded programs, tracking performance against approved funding plans.
• Evaluate spending trends across payroll, fringe benefits, occupancy, indirect costs, and other expense categories to confirm alignment with grant requirements.
• Produce budget-to-actual and variance analyses, highlighting financial risks, operational trends, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Prepare grant-related financial reports and reimbursement submissions, ensuring figures are accurately reconciled to the general ledger and external funder systems.
• Collaborate with program directors and operational leaders to review fiscal results and improve understanding of program-level financial performance.
• Monitor ongoing grant activity to help ensure compliance with federal funding rules, including Uniform Guidance requirements.
• Use advanced Excel capabilities to organize financial data, build reporting tools, and support detailed analysis for leadership review.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or in a similar finance role with ownership of budgeting and financial analysis.• Hands-on experience supporting federal grants, including required knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
• Strong background in variance analysis, budget preparation, and ongoing budget management.
• Ability to reconcile financial reports and reimbursement requests to the general ledger with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and functions used for financial modeling and reporting.
• Experience partnering with program or department leaders to explain financial results and support planning decisions.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
