Tax Preparer
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review business tax filings for corporate and partnership entities with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete individual income tax returns, including Form 1040 submissions, while ensuring documentation is properly organized and reflected in each filing.
• Generate and process 1099 forms in accordance with reporting requirements and applicable deadlines.
• Use QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online to maintain financial information, support tax preparation, and assist with account-level review.
• Provide day-to-day support on accounting and finance-related assignments as business needs arise.
• Gather, reconcile, and verify financial data needed to produce complete and reliable tax workpapers.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve missing information, clarify financial details, and keep deliverables on schedule.
Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tax preparation.• Proven ability to prepare tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
• Practical experience completing individual returns, including Form 1040 filings, and handling 1099 reporting.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Experience using Lacerte tax software is strongly preferred.
• Background in accounting or exposure to general bookkeeping responsibilities is an advantage.
