Inventory Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support onsite inventory operations in Chester, Virginia. This is a Contract position focused on maintaining accurate stock records, organizing inventory data, and supporting daily tracking activities through strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on environment, coordinating inventory counts, and helping ensure materials and assets are properly documented.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock movements, item counts, and asset details in Excel and related Microsoft Office tools.
• Perform routine physical counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to help keep records current and reliable.
• Track materials and assets across onsite operations, ensuring items are properly logged, labeled, and accounted for.
• Prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and inventory status reports to support day-to-day visibility and decision-making.
• Assist with annual inventory activities, including count preparation, documentation, and follow-up reconciliation.
• Work closely with onsite teams to confirm inventory transactions and resolve issues involving missing, damaged, or mismatched items.
• Support inventory control processes within operational areas, including assembly line-related material tracking when needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in inventory control, stock management, or a similar clerical support role.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced ability to manage and track data in Excel.
• Ability to perform detailed inventory tracking and maintain accurate asset records.
• Familiarity with physical inventory counts and annual inventory procedures.
• Comfortable working onsite in Chester, Virginia within an operational or warehouse-related setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy when handling large volumes of inventory data.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with team members to resolve inventory issues.

Compensation

$16.63-$17.50 Hourly
