Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a non-profit organization in Worcester, Massachusetts. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling a high volume of accounting transactions. The person in this role will contribute to accurate recordkeeping, timely payment processing, and dependable administrative support across the accounting function.

Responsibilities:
• Enter financial and transactional information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Review, code, and process invoices while helping maintain organized payment records.
• Support accounts payable activities by preparing documentation and assisting with vendor-related transactions.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including tracking incoming payments and updating account records.
• Use QuickBooks to maintain financial data and help ensure entries are current and properly documented.
• Provide administrative and project support to the accounting team as additional priorities arise.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting accounting operations in a clerical or administrative capacity.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and general accounting software tools.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial records.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$15.84-$18.34 Hourly
