Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization in Biddeford, Maine. This role is ideal for someone who can manage financial records with accuracy, maintain organized reporting, and support smooth transaction processing across payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial records are current, accurate, and properly documented.
• Process vendor invoices and outgoing payments in a timely manner while maintaining clear accounts payable records.
• Monitor customer billing and incoming payments, following up on outstanding balances to support healthy accounts receivable activity.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and keep cash records aligned with financial statements.
• Maintain and update accounting information within QuickBooks to support reliable reporting and daily operations.
• Prepare routine financial summaries and bookkeeping reports for internal review and decision-making.
• Review transactions for completeness and accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as they arise.
• Support month-end bookkeeping activities by organizing records and confirming account balances.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused business environment.• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks with the ability to maintain accurate financial data.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and payment posting.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances efficiently.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and a consistent approach to recordkeeping.
• Solid understanding of core bookkeeping principles and standard accounting practices.
Compensation
