Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

We are looking for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to support a nonprofit organization in San Francisco, California as it advances a major Salesforce initiative. This a part-time contract opportunity ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can connect business priorities with technical delivery, guide cross-functional discussions, and keep complex workstreams organized and moving forward. The role will focus on shaping requirements, refining workflows, and partnering with stakeholders and consultants to deliver practical Salesforce solutions that support operational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day coordination of a Salesforce implementation, ensuring project activities, milestones, and deliverables progress according to plan.

• Work closely with business teams to capture operational needs, clarify priorities, and turn discussions into actionable project requirements.

• Run workflow discovery sessions and document process flows across functions such as HR, finance, approvals, and service-related operations.

• Convert business process information into clear functional guidance for Salesforce developers and consulting partners.

• Oversee testing activities by organizing user acceptance efforts, collecting feedback, and helping teams address issues before release.

• Monitor risks, unresolved questions, and project dependencies, and drive timely resolution to keep the initiative on track.

• Maintain organized project artifacts, including requirements documentation, process maps, status updates, and decision logs.

• Partner with external consultants and internal stakeholders to confirm that Salesforce configurations support intended business outcomes.

• Support planning and requirements discussions for integrations involving connected business systems, including financial and operational platforms.

• Provide regular progress reporting to leadership and help manage a portfolio of workflow builds expected throughout the engagement.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in Salesforce project management, business systems, or implementation-focused roles.
• Demonstrated success leading Salesforce deployments, enhancements, or related transformation initiatives.
• Strong ability to map business processes and design workflows that translate into effective system solutions.
• Experience gathering requirements and producing clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable collaborating with consulting partners, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders in a remote environment.
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage several workstreams at once.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong alignment with distributed teams and leadership.
• Background in nonprofit, grantmaking, HR, finance, Experience Cloud, or system integration work is a plus.

Compensation

$65.00-$75.00 Hourly
