Estate Planning Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to support a busy legal practice in the Greater Worcester area. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and plays an important role in preparing estate planning matters, guiding clients through the signing process, and keeping files moving efficiently from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings strong drafting ability, excellent client communication skills, and a highly organized approach to managing multiple matters with accuracy and professionalism. Please note, hybrid work arrangement is for candidates with Estate Plan Drafting experience.
Responsibilities:
• Lead estate plan execution meetings, explaining documents clearly and helping clients complete the signing process correctly.
• Prepare and refine a range of estate planning materials, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, and related documents.
• Develop clear estate plan summaries and connect with clients before appointments to review documents and answer preliminary questions.
• Examine document packages carefully to confirm completeness, consistency, and accuracy before final signature.
• Handle follow-through after signing, including file organization, recording support, trust funding assistance, and ongoing matter tracking.
• Keep clients informed by providing timely updates on progress, pending items, and upcoming steps throughout the representation.
• Maintain accurate case records in legal management systems and work closely with attorneys and support staff to move matters forward on schedule.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, estate administration, trust administration, or a closely related legal practice area.• Demonstrated ability to draft and revise estate planning documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple deadlines and active matters effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management platforms; familiarity with WealthCounsel or similar software is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Knowledge of estate planning terminology, documentation standards, and file management best practices.
Compensation
