Paralegal

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support employment litigation matters moving toward trial in Los Angeles County. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a trial-focused legal specialist who can bring structure, precision, and steady support across pretrial preparation and in-court proceedings. The role requires a strong command of California litigation practices, excellent organizational judgment, and the ability to partner closely with attorneys in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the collection, categorization, and tracking of case documents to keep productions organized and accessible throughout the litigation process.

• Prepare and assemble exhibits for depositions, hearings, pretrial submissions, and trial proceedings with careful attention to formatting and completeness.

• Develop and maintain witness materials, exhibit indexes, trial notebooks, and other case tools needed for efficient courtroom preparation.

• Assist attorneys with pretrial filings by coordinating supporting materials, deadlines, and documentation for motions and related court submissions.

• Organize witness scheduling, preparation sessions, and logistical details to help ensure readiness for trial appearances.

• Arrange and manage evidence, pleadings, and supporting records so trial teams can quickly retrieve key materials when needed.

• Provide day-to-day litigation support during the final stages of trial preparation, helping attorneys stay aligned on priorities and deadlines.

• Attend trial in person and deliver hands-on assistance at counsel table, including real-time coordination of documents, exhibits, and courtroom needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a paralegal role with substantial exposure to trial preparation and courtroom support.
• Demonstrated background supporting civil litigation matters in California state court, ideally including Los Angeles Superior Court proceedings.
• Strong working knowledge of discovery, exhibit control, document management, and court filing practices.
• Experience assisting with depositions, witness preparation, and pretrial motion support in active litigation matters.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced legal setting.
• Proficiency with case management software and other tools used to track litigation materials and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication skills when working with attorneys and case teams.

Compensation

$42.75-$49.50 Hourly
