CFO - Chief Financial Officer
Robert Half is recruiting for an Interim CFO / Consultant for a family services organization in the Inland Empire. The environment includes high volume billing and payroll operations utilizing Sage Intacct and WellSky. This role will be locate onsite in Corona, CA.
Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership over accounting, finance, payroll, billing, and reporting functions.
Lead daily accounting operations across multiple entities.
Oversee month end close, financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
Support Billing Manager and team of 10 billing specialists in a high volume billing environment.
Supervise Payroll team of 5 specialists supporting 5,000+ service providers.
Oversee AP, vendor payments, and staff accountant activities.
Ensure accuracy of multi entity and intercompany accounting.
Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial reporting.
Partner with executive leadership on operational and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including Controller or CFO level responsibilities.
Experience in healthcare, human services, home care, nonprofit, or other service based organizations preferred.
Strong experience overseeing large billing and payroll operations.
Proficiency with Sage Intacct required; WellSky experience a plus.
Strong GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management skills.
Hands on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA is preferred.• At least 10 years of progressively senior experience in finance and accounting leadership, including Controller or CFO-level responsibility.
• Background in nonprofit, healthcare, human services, home care, or another service-driven industry is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale billing and payroll functions in a complex operating environment.
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct is required; familiarity with WellSky is an advantage.
• Strong capabilities in month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Ability to balance executive-level planning with direct involvement in day-to-day financial operations.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in senior finance leadership roles.
Compensation
