Sr. Accountant
Robert Half is looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our clients team. This position is well suited for an accounting specialist with strong attention to detail who can manage property and corporate accounting activities while providing oversight for the accounts payable function. The role offers the opportunity to work across multiple entities, contribute to accurate financial reporting, and support ongoing improvements in accounting processes within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct accounting operations for a portfolio of properties and affiliated entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.
• Supervise the outsourced accounts payable workflow by reviewing submissions, addressing discrepancies, and strengthening processing efficiency.
• Post deposit activity and complete monthly bank reconciliations for several accounts and legal entities.
• Prepare account analyses and supporting schedules that maintain the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet.
• Contribute to the monthly close by creating journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assembling financial reporting packages.
• Generate construction and reserve draw documentation when requested and verify supporting financial details.
• Assist with recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Perform corporate accounting tasks, review general ledger activity for completeness, and work closely with operations and other stakeholders to resolve financial questions.
• Support audit requests, special projects, and continuous improvement efforts across accounting and accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within property accounting, real estate, or multifamily housing environments.
• Demonstrated background in month-end close activities, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Experience coordinating or overseeing accounts payable operations, including vendor issue resolution.
• Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis of account activity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation
