Director Finance/30/FIN148

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to support strategic planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a health insurance organization in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position will guide budgeting activities, deliver meaningful financial insights to leadership, and help shape decisions tied to growth, investments, and operational priorities. The role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen reporting, evaluate business performance, and provide forward-looking financial perspective in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise financial planning activities, including long-range planning, annual budget development, and recurring forecast updates.
• Partner with senior business leaders to translate operational priorities into sound financial strategies and measurable performance targets.
• Prepare and present internal management reports that highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities affecting business results.
• Conduct detailed financial modeling and ad hoc analysis to support investment decisions, growth initiatives, and business case development.
• Deliver actionable recommendations by interpreting financial data and connecting findings to strategic and operational objectives.
• Collaborate across teams to improve planning assumptions, reporting accuracy, and overall decision support for leadership.
• Support evaluation of business performance within a health insurance setting, including analysis related to specialized programs and operational initiatives.
• Use financial tools and reporting systems to organize data, streamline analysis, and enhance visibility into financial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in finance leadership, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for modeling, reporting, and executive-level presentations.

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and communicate complex findings in a clear, business-focused manner.

• Background partnering with leadership teams to influence strategy and support informed decision-making.

• Experience within healthcare or health insurance environments is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Essbase is a plus.

Compensation

$55.00-$75.00 Hourly
