Accounting Manager/Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting activities and provide reliable financial insight for a manufacturing environment in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role will guide the monthly close cycle, strengthen financial controls, and support accurate reporting across general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting. The position also works closely with operational leaders to evaluate performance, improve processes, and contribute to planning and analysis efforts as the organization grows.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly closing cycle by preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and delivering timely financial statements.
• Lead daily accounting activities across the general ledger while maintaining oversight of fixed assets, inventory records, and manufacturing cost data.
• Evaluate current workflows and introduce practical improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and long-term scalability within the accounting function.
• Work with plant and operations leadership to analyze production costs, explain variances, and provide insight into financial results.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by compiling data, reviewing trends, and preparing financial analysis for leadership decision-making.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment by refining accounting procedures and ensuring policies are applied consistently.
• Coordinate support for external auditors and assist with tax-related preparation by organizing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Partner with senior leaders on high-priority projects and business initiatives that require accounting guidance and financial evaluation.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including meaningful responsibility for month-end close activities.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing setting, including inventory accounting and bill of materials structures.
• Ability to prepare and review financial statements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in support of operational and leadership teams.
• Understanding of internal controls and accounting policy application within a growing organization.
• Proficiency with Power BI or similar reporting tools used to analyze and present financial information.
