Cash Application Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support day-to-day payment application and accounts receivable activities for a growing team in Billerica, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is fully onsite and is ideal for someone who is highly accurate, comfortable working with financial transactions, and confident using Excel and SAP. The role will focus on applying incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure account balances are updated correctly in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
• Apply customer payments accurately and promptly to the appropriate accounts and open invoices.
• Review remittance details and reconcile discrepancies to support accurate accounts receivable records.
• Post cash receipts and other incoming payments while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Investigate unapplied or misapplied payments and work with internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.
• Use Excel to organize payment data, track activity, and support reporting needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of transactions within SAP and assist with related system updates as needed.
• Support daily and periodic account reconciliation efforts to help ensure financial records remain current and accurate.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in cash application, cash posting, or accounts receivable support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reviewing, and organizing financial information.
• Experience working in SAP is required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to process high-volume transactions accurately.
• Solid understanding of payment posting and reconciliation practices.
• Oracle experience is helpful but not required.
• Exposure to international or multinational business environments is a plus.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
