Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to provide steady accounting leadership for a global manufacturing business in Flower Mound, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can guide core accounting activities while remaining deeply involved in daily execution. The role requires strong ownership of the close process, financial reporting, inventory-related accounting, and cross-functional support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Direct core accounting operations across payables, receivables, general ledger activity, and payroll-related support to maintain accurate financial records
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles by preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and resolving accounting adjustments on schedule
• Produce and review financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, with attention to unusual trends and reporting accuracy
• Oversee manufacturing accounting activities such as standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold analysis across raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
• Evaluate material, labor, and overhead variances to explain operating results and highlight meaningful cost drivers for leadership
• Partner with operations and business leaders to assess product costs, margins, and profitability and to support informed decision-making
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning through financial modeling, variance analysis, and preparation of management reporting schedules
• Maintain internal controls, strengthen accounting procedures, and coordinate external audit and tax-related deliverables with outside partners
• Support global reporting needs by handling multi-entity financial activity, intercompany accounting, currency-related reporting, and monthly deliverables to the parent organization
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, streamline reporting workflows, and enhance the reliability and accessibility of financial data

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Background in manufacturing accounting, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, and cost of goods sold analysis
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and investigate reporting variances with a high degree of accuracy
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis in a dynamic business environment
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit support, and compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity within a lean team structure while providing accounting leadership
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across daily accounting operations and periodic reporting deadlines
• Proficiency with bank reconciliations and financial systems used to maintain data integrity and reporting efficiency

Compensation

$31.66-$36.66 Hourly
