Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Specialist to support front-end patient registration and intake processes. This role is responsible for helping ensure a smooth patient experience by verifying demographics, insurance information, benefits eligibility, and required documentation while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Register patients accurately in the system and update demographic information
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, authorizations, and referrals
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments as needed
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient intake activities
• Review required forms and obtain necessary signatures and documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data integrity
• Communicate with patients, providers, and internal departments regarding registration and coverage questions
• Support revenue cycle processes by helping reduce registration and billing errors
• Follow HIPAA and organizational policies related to confidentiality and compliance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience in patient access, medical registration, medical front desk, or a related healthcare support role preferred
• Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and patient scheduling preferred
