Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for supporting full-cycle AP operations, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and vendor communication, while using Microsoft Dynamics to manage transactions and records. In a mid-sized company, this role helps ensure timely disbursements, accurate financial data, and compliance with internal accounting procedures. Microsoft D365 is listed among the software proficiencies valued in finance and accounting hiring.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices in Microsoft Dynamics with accuracy and timeliness. Based on general knowledge.
• Verify invoice details, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation. Based on general knowledge.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving records. Based on general knowledge.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and support electronic and check payment processing. Based on general knowledge.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate payment discrepancies. Based on general knowledge.
• Assist with expense reporting, AP reporting, and month-end close activities. Based on general knowledge.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and support compliance with company policies. Based on general knowledge.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve AP processes within Dynamics. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting operations experience. Based on general knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related Dynamics platforms.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and spreadsheet skills. Based on general knowledge.
