Benefits Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This individual will play a key role in the administration of employee benefit programs, ensuring a seamless employee experience while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
• Manage employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with benefit carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Conduct benefits orientations and educate employees on available programs.
• Maintain and audit employee benefits records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support annual open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and ERISA.
• Generate reports and assist with benefits-related audits and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes and enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Benefits Administration experience required.
• Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and employee benefits regulations.
• Experience managing open enrollment and benefits vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
