Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our clients on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in invoice processing, vendor management, and accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
• Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting support.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, three-way matching, and vendor reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data entry accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a contract or contract-to-hire environment.
