Merchants Auto is looking for a creative, organized, and driven Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career marketing professional who is ready to move beyond execution and take ownership of impactful marketing initiatives. 

As the primary marketing liaison for our Auto Division, you'll work closely with division leadership and external marketing agency partners to coordinate campaigns across digital marketing, social media, website management, reputation management, email marketing, and more. You'll gain broad, hands-on experience while helping drive vehicle sales and customer engagement for one of New Hampshire's most trusted automotive brands.

Location: Merchants Auto & Merchants Fleet Headquarters in Hooksett, NH  

 

What You'll Do 

As our Marketing Specialist, you will: 

  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing contact for the Auto Division, coordinating marketing initiatives and requests across the business. 
  • Translate business priorities into marketing projects, campaign briefs, and agency requests. 
  • Partner with external agencies supporting digital advertising, paid media, website management, social media, SEO, and reputation management. 
  • Coordinate project timelines, approvals, deliverables, and communications to keep marketing initiatives moving forward. 
  • Assist in planning and executing consumer marketing campaigns that generate leads, increase website traffic, and drive vehicle sales. 
  • Manage dealership advertising and reputation management platforms, ensuring promotions, inventory listings, and messaging remain accurate and current. 
  • Create and edit marketing content for email campaigns, websites, social media, and promotional materials. 
  • Support website updates, email marketing efforts, and search engine optimization initiatives. 
  • Design basic marketing assets using Canva or similar design tools for digital campaigns, social media, showroom displays, signage, and promotional events. 
  • Maintain content calendars and coordinate content scheduling across marketing channels. 
  • Monitor online reviews and customer feedback, helping coordinate responses and elevate issues when appropriate. 
  • Review campaign reports and summarize key performance insights for internal stakeholders. 
  • Track marketing metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with Merchants brand standards and messaging. 
  • Support dealership events, community outreach, sales promotions, and other customer-facing marketing activities. 

What We're Looking For 

We're seeking someone who is: 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. 
  • A strong communicator with a customer-first mindset. 
  • Interested in learning new marketing tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 
  • Approximately two or more years of marketing experience (internships included), preferably in digital or consumer marketing. 
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices. 
  • Experience creating marketing content for multiple channels. 
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, social media management tools, or project management software. 
  • Experience working with marketing agencies or external vendors is a plus. 
  • Ability to interpret marketing data and campaign reporting to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Experience using Canva or similar design tools is preferred.
