| Job Summary | University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC) is currently seeking a full-time chaplain. The chaplain will provide direct patient care, make spiritual assessments, prioritize pastoral care needs, provide sacraments or make provisions for such and address interfaith needs. Other responsibilities will include preparing and providing memorial or worship services sensitive to the interfaith community, support and offer educational opportunities for health care team members. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of basic skills (reading, writing, and math). Requires knowledge and skills such as maintaining records and files, general office work and interpersonal skills. Requires knowledge and skills of a professional area within health care typically obtained through experience or a four-year college degree. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | A Master of Divinity (preferred) or Master of Theology. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an ACPE accredited training center; endorsement by a religious body as a chaplain and Board Certified or eligible for certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC). |
