Position Overview
Sumaria is seeking a highly skilled Systems & Network Administrator to support Department of Defense (DoD) network operations at the medical group level. This specialist will be responsible for the administration, operation, and maintenance of MDG network infrastructure while providing technical assistance, training, and support to internal and external customers.
This role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient network and systems performance across medical environments within the Air Force Medical Service and Defense Health Agency (DHA).
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, operate, and maintain DoD network systems at the 60 MDG level.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
- Manage and support Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
- Configure and maintain Cisco network switches.
- Provide end‑user and management support, including technical assistance and training.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, and network access policies.
- Support Medical Community of Interest (Med‑COI) and DHA network requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years combined experience with Air Force Medical Information Systems and/or DHA Systems.
- Security + or higher certification is required.
- Strong understanding of Med‑COI/DHA network architecture and constraints.
- Proficiency in:
- Windows Server installation, administration, and troubleshooting
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Cisco switch configuration
- Excellent communication and customer‑support skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a mission‑critical medical IT environment.
