Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support core accounting operations. This role will oversee critical close activities, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and deliver accurate financial reporting for business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a solid command of reconciliations and journal entries, and the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly close activities by coordinating timelines, reviewing entries, and ensuring accurate completion of all required accounting tasks.

• Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including the review and approval of journal entries to support accurate financial records.

• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and related reporting packages with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Partner with internal and external auditors by providing documentation, responding to inquiries, and assisting with audit readiness efforts.

• Review financial results, identify meaningful trends or discrepancies, and communicate insights to support management decision-making.

• Contribute to consolidation activities by validating data, aligning reporting inputs, and ensuring consistency across reporting periods.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close processes in a detail-focused accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entry review.
• Experience supporting financial statement preparation and external or internal audit activities.
• Proven ability to analyze financial results and identify reporting variances with accuracy.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting practices and accounting controls.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a contract role setting.

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
