Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, from reviewing incoming invoices to preparing and issuing vendor payments accurately and on schedule.
• Handle accounts receivable activities by creating customer invoices, recording incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized accounting records and post journal entries to support an accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements each month to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing schedules, verifying balances, and assisting with required documentation.
• Compile and review financial statements and other accounting reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss summaries.
• Process payroll records when needed and help ensure payroll information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Track cash activity and provide support for budgeting efforts by monitoring financial trends and reporting key observations.
• Assist with audit preparation by gathering supporting materials and responding to requests for financial documentation.
• Recommend practical improvements that strengthen accounting workflows, accuracy, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in a role supporting transactional and general ledger functions.• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entry preparation.
• Working knowledge of general ledger maintenance and monthly account reconciliation processes.
• Ability to prepare, review, and interpret routine financial reports with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and resolving variances in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with standard accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial recordkeeping best practices.
