Administrative Assistant
Position Overview
A growing school in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a professional and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, student services, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
- Greet prospective students, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner
- Assist with student enrollment, registration, and record maintenance
- Schedule appointments, orientations, meetings, and training sessions
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other administrative documents
- Maintain student files and ensure accurate data entry in school systems
- Assist with tracking attendance, certifications, and training records
- Support instructors and department leaders with administrative needs
- Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Process mail, filing, scanning, and other general office duties
- Ensure confidentiality of student and organizational information
- Assist with special projects and school events
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years of administrative, office support, or customer service experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working in an educational, training, or healthcare environment is a plus
