Benefits Customer Service Representative
Position Description
We are seeking a customer-focused professional to join a Benefits Administration team supporting members and employer groups with benefit-related inquiries. This role combines customer service, call center support, and administrative responsibilities while helping individuals navigate benefit plans, enrollment changes, account updates, and general benefit-related questions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys problem-solving, learning complex information, and delivering a high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries regarding benefits, enrollment, coverage, and account updates.
- Assist customers with benefit-related questions, plan changes, and administrative requests.
- Research and resolve customer concerns while providing accurate and timely information.
- Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records within company systems.
- Navigate multiple platforms and CRM systems to access and update account information.
- Process benefit-related transactions and administrative requests.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while handling sensitive or complex conversations.
- Partner with team members to ensure service levels and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Adapt to changing processes, systems, and business needs during peak enrollment periods.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, call center, member services, administrative support, healthcare support, or benefits administration experience preferred.
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable learning and explaining complex information to customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Empathetic, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset.
- Reliable transportation for onsite training and hybrid work requirements.
Compensation
