Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We are seeking talented individuals to join our Technical Assembly Team in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Technical Assembly Position Objective:

  • Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Responsible for using blueprints to assemble winches, hoists, and drives.

Technical Assembly Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

    • Use automatic lift and overhead cranes to move and position material
    • Determine appropriate parts to use to build product
    • Use blueprints to assemble winches, hoists, and drives including hydraulic, power take off (PTO), and pneumatic driven.
    • Operate test stand to ensure finished product functions as intended
    • Troubleshoot failures on test stand, document, and rectify
    • Daily visual inspections of area safety equipment
    • Participate in improvements to enhance productivity and product quality
    • Must actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices
    • Train and coach new employees as required
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Technical Assembly Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools to ensure proper torque and assembly installations to meet engineering and production requirements.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints, follow written instructions as required.
  • Have a good mechanical background, or aptitude
  • Must have a good ability to work effectively and get along with others
  • Ability to recognize obvious irregularities in form, fit or function
  • Ability to perform all assigned tasks from start to finish with minimal instruction
  • Ability to follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and procedures

Technical Assembly Skills:

Must be able to use the following equipment:

  • Must be capable of operating hand and pneumatic tools to ensure proper torque and assembly installations to meet engineering and production requirements.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints, and follow written instruction as required.
  • Superb work organizational skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must have good hand eye coordination and hand dexterity.
  • Must be physically able to use hand tools and power tools frequently.
  • Must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8 to10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and squat.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to apply 65 pounds of push/pull force.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent exposure to greases, oils, solvents, and surface coatings.
  • Must be capable of safely working with and around heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Must be able to see clearly and follow written instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly.
Work Environment:

Arrowhead Winch is a manufacturer of industrial winches. Employee is working around heavy machinery. Employees must be able to operate safely in a busy industrial environment. Additional physical requirements include standing, walking, bending 90% of the time. Ability to squat, kneel on both knees, bend forward at the waist, and hold hands above head. A very mobile position requiring lots of walking on concrete floors. Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and grab parts and inspect machinery. Must be able to wear PPE, personal protective equipment required to move throughout the shop. This position requires mobility around heavy machinery, forklifts, and loud noise.
