Human Resources (HR) Director

Encino, CA 91436, US Contract
Compensation: $40 to $43 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Director to lead core people operations for a growing organization in Encino, California. This contract to hire position is ideal for a strategic HR leader who can balance day-to-day administration with employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance oversight. The successful candidate will help strengthen HR practices, support a positive workplace culture, and ensure policies and processes align with business needs and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

• Lead employee relations matters by advising managers, addressing workplace concerns, and guiding effective resolutions.

• Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment support, vendor coordination, and employee communication regarding available programs.

• Direct HR operations across onboarding, record maintenance, policy implementation, and general personnel administration.

• Partner with leadership to manage compensation practices, support pay decisions, and help maintain competitive and equitable programs.

• Coordinate payroll-related activities to promote accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with internal policies and applicable regulations.

• Monitor HR compliance requirements and maintain practices that support labor laws, workplace policies, and audit readiness.

• Develop and refine HR procedures that improve consistency, efficiency, and employee experience across the organization.

• Provide guidance to supervisors and department leaders on performance issues, policy interpretation, and workforce planning needs.


Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare or closely regulated environment.
• Strong background in employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and manager coaching.
• Hands-on experience with benefits administration, HR operations, compensation support, and payroll coordination.
• Solid knowledge of HR compliance requirements, employment laws, and best practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, executives, and external partners.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation

$40.00-$43.00 Hourly
