Administrative Assistant
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in El Cajon, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and excels at providing administrative support while helping the organization achieve its mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to leadership and program staff.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Assist with planning meetings, community events, and fundraising activities.
- Coordinate office supplies, mail distribution, and general office operations.
- Support volunteer and donor communications as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of administrative or office support experience.
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with donor management or CRM software is a plus.
- Familiarity with event coordination and volunteer support.
- Passion for supporting nonprofit initiatives and community engagement.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Compensation
