Senior Accountant

Our team is actively seeking Senior Accountants for ongoing project and contract opportunities in the Chattanooga area. Senior Accountants in these opportunities will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet flux analysis for management reporting.
• Support monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and consolidations.
• Contribute to cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate audit preparation and support quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Partner cross-functionally with business units to support regulatory reporting and broader accounting initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and help enhance automation within accounting and reporting functions.
• Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are helpful

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

- Experience with ERP systems, including SAP S4HANA, Oracle, Sage Intacct, Business Central and Epicor

- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required

- Highly organized and self-motivated

- Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

- Knowledge of cash applications

- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

- Foundational knowledge in asset management

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Multi-entity, intercompany experience a huge plus

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
